Nakheel supports the Dubai Shamaal

Dubai based property developers and master planners for the Palm Jebil Ali, Nakheel, have given the green light to the organisers of the Dubai Shamaal to launch and start the 3rd edition of the world richest surfski race from the top of the Jebil Ali Palm. Competitors will be granted access the day before to drop their ski's off at a designated launch spot which will also have water, shade and ablution facilities all laid on by Nakheel.
Dubai SurfSki & Kayak Club President, Wayne Randal was delighted with this outcome after many weeks of negotiation commenting that "If the wind blows the way we're expecting it to, then this will be the best course we've had to date, giving paddlers a full downwind experience, we are very grateful to the managment of Nakheel for giving us this very exclusive opportunity. I have been to the location and it will be a truly amazing experince to launch from 12km out to sea."
The Dubai Shamaal will feature over 150 craft and more than 20 nationalities starting from the Palm on Tuesday 2nd, The UAE Naitonal Day and ending at Club Mina at the MIna Seyahi around 15h30.
